Back in 2006, we received an email from an old college buddy inviting us to visit him in Bolivia. “Sure, we’ve always wanted to visit,” we answered, as we hurriedly typed into our browsers: “Bolivia where is it”.
Not long thereafter, we seized this opportunity and spent the next three weeks submerged in the country, its people and its food. It was there and then that we stumbled across pink salt for the first time, immediately noticing its unique flavor when sprinkled atop a potato dish prepared for us by locals. And we’ve been using it since.
